A set of Curriculum For beginner level by Awang darmawan

1. INTRODUCTION

We now know that English is an international language used around the world. English come into all aspect in the life such as Business, Art, education and technology. Such a way makes all people today thinks that English is important and valuable thing for people today so that the necessity of learning English is increasing by the time.
Curriculum is a set of lesson designed to meet the need of student. A curriculum is expected to fulfill the objectives of education planning. We expect after using this curriculum the objective can be fulfilled. For this curriculum is aimed for the beginner level. It means that the student taught is nothing of English knowledge. However this curriculum must as quickly as possible the need of them in English as the means of communication so that we make this curriculum is more functional.
This curriculum contains of some lessons of English that related to ELT. It is aimed to student to get some language skills such as
a Listening
b Speaking
c Reading
d Writing
e Grammar
f Pronunciation.

This curriculum is aimed to meet the needs of real life. It means the lesson taught is more functional. It is refers to the term “language is a means of communication” in other word it will be more authentic.




2. LEVEL : it must be used for beginner level

3. METHODOLOGY : lecturing, using audio visual and presenting


4. TIME ALLOCATION : 400 minutes

5. MEDIA OF TEACHING : text book, tape recorder, TV set, computer, Overhead Projector, flashcard, whiteboard.

6. EVALUATION :

a . Post test given at the end of this program.

1. oral test (speaking, pronunciation)
2. written test
3. observation during the program is running
4. question and answer.

Ide pokok atau topic sentence biasanya terletak pada akhir atau diawal kalimat dan bersifat lebih umum topic sentence berfungsi untik mengontrol paragraph .

5. Complex sentence
Sebuah complex sentence terdiri dari sebuah independent clause dan satu atau lebih dependent clause memiliki lebih dari satu ide pokok. Ide pokok yang paling penting biasanya terletak di kalimat pertama.
Example:
• In the united states, women could not vote until 11920 although they could own property.
